About Food


I’ve come through a myriad of life experiences that have led me to share experience and skills at Heart Space, VA.

The most profound has been in relation to food. Through a willingness and dedication to working and centering my life around Spiritual Principles, imbedded in OA (overeaters anonymous), and through the study of yoga and Ayurveda, I am able to live a lifestyle that supports a joyous and balanced state of well-being!

I am joy-filled to share these ways and findings with you, if you are willing to discover how you can benefit by these practices in your own life!

Food for Health and Wellness

 

Through cooking experiences, the foundation and principles of using “food as medicine” are learned and applied to practical living and daily living.

I consider food through an Ayurvedic (the sister science to yoga) lens. We continually explore how we can eat with the seasons and maximize the effort of food preparation and consumption to support our health and present conditions.

We dabble in the healing properties of food preparation, practices, and the use of herbs and seasonings. We practice mindfulness and presence through food preparation, eating and cleaning.
